Do you have a tween/teenage daughter or special young girl in your life? This time is so tender, and we bear witness to an incredible transformation. If your daughter/special young girl has gotten her period (even if it was while ago), and you want to celebrate this rite of passage with an empowering experience, join Samantha Scivens and I for a celebratory First Moon Ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 6pm at Cultivate in Lakewood.

We have planned a beautiful experience for mothers and daughters (or other special females, like aunties, grandmothers, god mothers, family friends, etc.) to celebrate their coming of age. This transformation is a BIG deal! The ceremony we have created is positive, empowering and meaningful. It’s mostly ceremonial and celebratory, but also educational. It’s a safe space to authentically connect in sisterhood and talk about what it’s like to be a woman.

What this ceremony includes:

• Cacao ceremony (which is like a sacred/special hot chocolate!)

• Honoring of the seasons of their cycle, with an explanation of their superpowers during each phase of their cycle

• Walking over the “ threshold” into womanhood

• Women’s circle share - this is POWERFUL, and a chance for young girls to hear from older women what it’s like to be a women (we ask that everyone keep it positive and encouraging)

• Celebrate with CAKE!

This event is for mothers and daughters (or other special females) AND is for you if:

• You are a woman, and have a young girl in your life who has gotten her period

• You are open minded

• You are willing to be vulnerable, share your experience of what its like to be a women, and will commit to staying positive in the circle (just the women, not the girls)

• See value in creating a meaningful experience for your young girl

The cost is $30 for each woman and $20 for each young girl.

(That means it would be $50 for a mother and daughter…..$70 for a mother and 2 daughters….$80 for a mother, daughter and grandma…$90 for an auntie and her 3 nieces….you get the point!)
